When I started my freelancing journey 3 years ago, I knew nothing about working with clients. I had basic skills and a deep desire to earn money; that’s all I had.

But as I started getting clients, I realized that working with them as an introvert was far more challenging than expected. Customizing offers, providing real value, and keeping clients happy back to back was exhausting.

Every time I earned something, I reinvested it into courses to grow my skills, manage clients better, and ensure I got paid on time.

But even after all that, I was not happy with the results; I still felt like I was struggling back to back.

I finally took everything into my own hands, and I made 3 major changes that turned my freelancing into a real business.

Mindset Shift:

As a freelancer or solopreneur, having a strong mindset is crucial. The ups and downs are part of the process.

  • Clients are not always right: You know more than your clients; just don’t be intimidated by their thoughts.

  • Keep yourself cal

  • Keep yourself calm in any situation

  • Be patient; things will work out in your favor.

  • Regularly, remind yourself of the 3 best things about you.

  • And the 3 best things about working online.

  • Above all, if you like your work, it will be a part of you, and everything will be in place eventually.

Crafting the Perfect Offer:

Offer is not just what you decided; it’s the combination of:

Your skill + Clients need + Extra value = Clients Always ready to say yes

For example, I initially offered website copy, but with time I added website design to my offer, so even though I write websites for clients, at least I know how copy is going to blend with design, and by adding this, it increased my client’s attraction.

So create an offer that stands out without feeling like you're overselling.

Enhancing the Client Experience:

Honestly, I failed miserably at this in the beginning; my process was messy.

I didn't set clear boundaries. Clients paid me whatever they preferred, and I had no structure.

After searching for resources and coming up empty-handed, I created my system by gathering feedback from my clients.

1. Proposal: For easy to present offers and get yes from clients.

2. Contract: Simplifies terms and conditions and gets paid on time.

3. Welcome guide: To be clear about my business and why working with me is beneficial for them.

4. Goodbye guide: Say goodbye to clients with lifetime access to me with resources and a friendly bond.

5. Email Scripts: All the client project management emails.

6. Investment guide: Explain pricing with a step-by-step process so clients never step back from working with you.

7. Personal business planner: This planner helped me to plan my strategy without influencing or copying others and create my dream life.

I bundled all these resources, and so far, I've sold over 100 sales through my website. Now for the first time, I recently added on Gumroad. If you want to check it out,

Trust me, You don’t need to complicate your freelancing journey.

I’ve been working with clients for 3 years and clients don't want anything more than these 3 things.

Keep it simple.
